  • Supermoon over HCM’s historic harbour

Posted on March 19th, 2011 Gavin (M/S Hans) No comments

This evening the moon reached its closest point to the Earth for almost two decades (although the 0.3% difference would be hard to see!). A clear, still and cool evening meant that conditions were good for photographing from the moornings. (other links: guardian / wikipedia /astronomy / sky at night)

(NB: there was no substantial impact on the tides)
